Everything was made from scratch. Tasted like Saturday morning at Granny's house.

Great food, fresh, friendly service, authentic surroundings, local touches include arts and crafts examples, the Pickle Ladies products, much more. Friday evenings feature BBQ, Low Country Boil, more. Starts at 5:30 PM, better be there early. When it's gone, it's gone...Γ°ΕΈΒ€β€”

It's off the beaten path, but worth the trip. The home cooked meals are very tasty. We have had lunch and dinner there and we were very pleased. Breakfast will be next! The service is friendly and everyone has a smile. The extra service I witnessed was one of the staff helping with the takeout meal for an elderly person and walked them to their car. That is why I posted 5 stars!

Good food at this surprise along the side of the road. It's got a new owner so expect fun things to come along the way!

After driving by many times, we finally got the opportunity to stop in and enjoy breakfast at The Hungry Drover. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and attentive. We order two hungry drovers with bacon AND sausage, and their yummy homemade toast. We also ordered French Toast. The food was perfect, and the bread was like no other. Homemade and delicious. We had regular coffee and they did a fabulous job keeping it filled. The French Toast we took home and it was decadent! We cannot wait to come back for a second visit & try their Friday night supper.

If you're looking for some good, southern, down-home cooking - this is your place. It's your typical, delicious hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Authentic, southern home-cooking that will fill you up and leave you very satisfied. Their breakfast is amazing!

Great place for Breakfast or lunch...country atmosphere, fast friendly service and best food around..maybe the best pulled pork I have ever had.. They do have a limited menu but everything is freshly prepared.. And the portions are huge.. It is difficult to clean the plate... Order and pay at the counter as you enter... No table service... Family owned establishment..

We had been to the Hungry Drover several times over the years but our visit this time was the best yet. First of all, the quality of the food was second to none. My wife got the baked French toast and it was out of this world. It didn't even need the maple syrup that came with it. I got the large breakfast platter with eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, a biscuit and gravy. It was too much to finish. Every item was hot and delicious (especially the biscuit and gravy). The staff was very attentive and the service was quick. After talking with one of the staff I learned that the ownership had changed hands since our last visit. It seems the new owners are doing everything right. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a huge, delicious country breakfast. The dining area is fairly small so make sure you avoid the crowds by going early or late.

Very popular place to locals, very nice staff, interesting decor. Good coffee. Great biscuits, very flavorful without being overtly oily/fatty tasting. Eggs cooked well, fresh fruits, grits were too buttery/oily, cinnamon roll was undercooked in the middle,, and the French toast was not good for my tastes.

I routinely recommend the Drover as the best place for breakfast in the area. Biscuits and gravy, grits, are delicious but MAKE SURE you try that hashbrown casserole!! When I'm able to make it there for lunch, Reuben all the way! Southern charm from every staffer, great arts and crafts at reasonable prices. It's my go to place.

The Hungry Drover serves some of the best breakfast around. The pancakes are delicious, and my favorite: biscuits and gravy, is always perfect. The service is excellent and you can even use ApplePay to pay your bill.
